OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES

What we believe.
How we live.

Kingdom values made practical. These principles guide our vision for people, communities and public life.

Choose a theme, then open a principle to explore it.

01People

Love our neighbour.

Put the dignity of every person at the heart of how we live, lead and serve.

Love is not an abstract idea. It means listening without contempt, caring for people who are overlooked, and treating others with the compassion we would hope to receive ourselves.

SCRIPTURE FOR REFLECTION · Mark 12:30–31
02Public life

Choose justice & mercy.

Speak truthfully. Act fairly. Stand alongside people whose voices go unheard.

A renewed public life begins with integrity and humility. Our vision is for leadership that serves rather than dominates, seeks fairness, and refuses to confuse strength with cruelty.

SCRIPTURE FOR REFLECTION · Micah 6:8
03Public life

Be a peacemaker.

Build bridges where there is division, and make room for honest, respectful disagreement.

Peace is an active commitment. It asks us to replace hostility with dialogue, seek reconciliation, and remember that a person is always more than a political label.

SCRIPTURE FOR REFLECTION · Matthew 5:9
04Community

Strengthen our communities.

Turn shared values into practical care for the people and places around us.

The Kingdom is made visible in everyday acts of service: supporting a neighbour, welcoming someone who is isolated, caring for people in difficulty, and making time for one another.

SCRIPTURE FOR REFLECTION · Matthew 25:35–40
05Community

Care for creation.

Treat the natural world as a gift to steward, not merely a resource to use.

Care for creation connects faith with responsibility. Thoughtful local choices, less waste, and respect for the places we share are ways to practise gratitude and care for future generations.

SCRIPTURE FOR REFLECTION · Genesis 2:15
06People

Live with courageous hope.

Let faith, grace and generosity shape our response to an uncertain world.

Hope does not deny hardship. It gives us the courage to respond to it with open hearts, to begin again after failure, and to seek what is good even when the way forward is difficult.

SCRIPTURE FOR REFLECTION · Matthew 6:33
