Faith can be deeply personal. But the love it calls us to practise cannot remain private. It touches the way we listen, the choices we make, and the kind of neighbour we become.
Begin with the person in front of you
Jesus placed love of God and love of neighbour at the centre of life. That is a demanding starting point for public life: before there is a policy, a platform or a debate, there is a person whose dignity matters.
The Reformation Party's Kingdom of God vision begins here. We want the values we speak about to be recognisable in our conduct: compassion rather than contempt, honesty rather than convenience, and service rather than self-importance.
Small acts are not small things
A phone call to someone who is lonely. A meal shared. Time given to a local project. The courage to listen to a different view. These acts may not make headlines, but they help shape the life of a community.
Faith is where we begin. Love is how we act.
Reformation begins not only with institutions, but with us. We can ask a simple question today: what would love require of me here?
